Punchy pesto, bold basil-y goodness
Woolworths' Basil Pesto Pasta Salad kit is the ideal lunch solution (just chuck in some shredded roast chicken for extra protein) or the ideal side accompaniment to a summer barbecue.
It was a hit with hubby and Miss Two (who, let's be honest, is a typical toddler in terms of her food fickleness).
And in addition to its own deliciousness, the Basil Pesto Pasta Salad paired perfectly with a chilled glass of rose (what more do you need?!).
I'm looking forward to trying the entire Woolworths Salad Kits range - they are definitely my go to for entertaining this summer!

Absolute delight
The kit was great, with the caramelised onion chutney and chicken separate from the rocket which is on top of the pasta. The initial downside for me was that the onion chutney was not contained well enough and I spilt some.
The serving size is great. Unfortunately for them, the rest of my household were not keen to try so I had the whole lot over multiple servings. It would be fantastic as a side dish but I also found it great on its own.
I feel that the bacon and corn did not necessarily add to the dish. I did add some Parmesan cheese which paired nicely with the other ingredients and which I would prefer over the bacon and corn.
Overall a great combination and wonderful spin on a salad.
