For the Woolworths Creamy Chicken Pasta Salad Kit Product Review we asked mums to try this salad that’s pre-cooked and deliciously flavoured. The salad combines chicken, pasta, corn, parsley and caramalised red onion chutney, in a roasted garlic dressing.
All ingredients are packaged separately within the larger salad container for freshness and crunch. So all you have to do is mix them together just before serving.

I'm so happy with my experiments that I can do with these woolies salads. So I got 3 of these and added some falafel nuggets and some fresh ricotta to the mix, instead of the chicken. Oh yum. So I tried this pack just recently and I would give it 4/5 score. The taste is pretty good and yes the dressing is great too. I love the fact the ingredients are packed separately. That way I can choose which packet i want and which not. This one I did not use the chicken, just added some cottage cheese paneer and boiled egg in lieu of the chicken. It just tasted great. i love mixing salads to get a good blend. Loved the change.

I bought this salad again last week and tailored it to my taste, after trying it the first time at the original home trial, with the ingredients in the original tub.
I like it as the original for a side dish when you have 4 people, but as we're a couple we wouldn't eat it all in one go.
This time we had half for lunch with added corn and tinned peas, fresh sliced Spanish onions and some grated extra tasty cheese. The second half we had on it's own for dinner the next day.
I took all the basil leaves off before I mixed in the other ingredients, because if you don't eat it all straight away the basil leaves become soggy and unappetising.
I have tried 2 types now and think this is a good one for lunches or any meals.
Definitely a healthy alternative to sandwiches and wraps.

We chose to have the Creamy Chicken Pasta Salad for lunch and it was great! Huge pieces of chicken and the caramelised red onion chutney was delicious. I really enjoyed the roasted garlic dressing! I was extremely impressed with the quality, the taste and the ability to mix the salads anywhere. They will be great for a quick easy dinner on a hot night!

My kids and I grabbed this when we were out and about for a quick lunch. Very convenient and we all loved it. The flavour is great. The only thing I would say but this was just for us, is to not put all the parsley in as it was a lot. Very filling and I think it would be a perfect side or great to grab for the summer BBQ salad.

These are great, salad ingredients are expensive and this way there is no wastage . Half the time I buy all the ingredients for a salad and half of it rots in the fridge, I love that these come with the dressing and everything, so easy for a quick midweek dinner for the kids. I’m a sucker for creamy or pasta anything so this creamy chicken pasta salad was a must try. I make a creamy pasta salad myself but it does take some time to prepare and I often don’t have time after work or am too exhausted. A balanced meal with variety is a priority to us. We liked this salad but would have preferred to use our own whole egg mayonnaise to dress it as opposed to the supplied. Other than that, would buy again!

I love Woolworths creamy chicken pasta as it not only taste amazing the ingredients are fresh and taste fresh on completion of mixing. The product is definitely value for money and there is sufficient in the container. I take them to work for meals and they are so easy in the morning to grab and go. It took weeks to find these in a nearby Woolworths. They don't seem to be super widely available, making it hard to plan to have them.
The salad itself was super easy to prepare, though the amount of plastic was concerning. It was simply a matter of dumping everything into the main compartment and mixing with a spoon.
The caramelised onion was really good. I have made my own in past, so I have high standards for caramelised onion relish and this met those standards. The creamy pasta dressing was nice, and was in good proportion to the amount of pasta/chicken/etc. The chicken tasted nice, but could have done with more in proportion to the rest.
To serve with a meal you would definitely need another source of vegetables as, even though this is delicious, this salad really doesn't have enough vegetables as a meal. I imagine it would work well as a side for lazy nights where you just want to throw some chicken/fish in the oven and not really cook, or as a side at a BBQ where there would be plenty of higher-veg dishes to have it with.

I find the Woolworths salad kit is awesome for a quick grab healthy meal for hubby who is a shift worker . I normally pack his lunch but decided to give this a go . Hubby is not normally big on salad as he is still hungry .
But he found that it was satisfying.. He works at Green square so he travels from Campbelltown.
He has fruit to munch on going to work now instead of a packet of crisps

7 Simple Ideas That’ll Save You Hours Every School Week
If every school week is more like an episode of Survivor at your place, don’t worry, you’re not alone! The struggle to stay on top of the school week mayhem is real – so we’ve put together a bunch of clever ideas to give you back some precious time (and sanity).
There’s nothing difficult about these tips, just solid advice and ideas from a mum who’s been in the school trenches for over a decade.
1. Teach The Kids To Make Some Simple Breakfasts

Hang on, this is about breakfast, why are we showing you a picture of mouth-watering cookies?! These are Four Ingredient Healthy Breakfast Cookies – perfect for a prep-ahead school day brekkie!
Depending on their age there are so many safe and easy breakfasts kids can make themselves. From toasties, to yoghurt pots prepped the night before or just cereal. Not having to make breakfast for everyone will literally save you hours every week!
2. Lay Out Clothes For The Week
Use a hanging organiser or labelled baskets for each day. Include uniforms, socks and undies. Kids can dress themselves without the drama of missing items. I’ll be honest, my kids’ uniforms are expensive, so I wash during the week as they only have a couple of sets. However, if nothing else, having just socks and underwear sorted for the week is an absolute lifesaver!
The other huge help is not having to pre-treat stains on my kids’ uniforms, nobody has time for that during the week! My extra tip here is to use a great quality laundry detergent that is powerful enough to remove stains in-wash, so you don’t need to worry about pre-treating. You may only need to do this fortnightly or monthly, but just make sure you schedule it in your calendar. Trust me, it saves so much time compared to juggling things bit by bit!
5. Quick-Fire Cleaning Sessions
Set a timer for ten minutes in the afternoon, pop on some music and everyone tidies their zone. This includes the kids emptying their lunchboxes, washing their drink bottles, handing you any notes and putting their clothes in the wash. Small bursts like this stop the house turning into chaos by Friday.
6. Have A Snack Station
Keep a drawer or fridge shelf filled with ready portions. Kids can pack their own snacks for school, and also grab something to eat when they get home. Think ahead and include them in the weekly shopping – ask them what snacks they would like (and cross your fingers they’ll still like them all week!).
7. Set Up A Family Charging Station
One spot for iPads, laptops and phones. No searching for chargers or discovering a dead laptop ten minutes before school! Make sure each child puts their school device on charge when they get home, as part of their Quick-Fire Cleaning Session.

There are some great ideas here! I just use an old school paper calender but its so helpful to remember all the important dates – i always buy a family planner one so theres columns for each of us to write what were doing om certain days so we never run out of space! I need a snack station, but struggle to have healthy (or healthier) choices in the cupboard apart from the usual chips, rice crackers and museli bars!
There are some good hints here! I already do have a little snack station in my pantry – a large container filled with all sorts of bars, etc. It’s the first place the kids look for something to eat. I do like the idea of a charging station but I don’t think it would work in my house. Everyone seems to like charging things in their room and it could look messy with multiple cords.
The struggle is real so I’m loving these hints. I especially like the idea of getting the kids involved in preparing their own lunches and snacks and offering a variety of options that will hopefully encourage them to make healthy choices now and into the future.

The family calendar system is a must too!
I totally agree with most of these. We bought some inexpensive cereal dispensers, and that made mornings much easier. And school admin? For me, that is every Wednesday right before a regular appointment. It fitted in perfectly, I never overlooked anything, and if I didn’t need it it was a glorious burst of free time.
I love this article and the tips and already follow many of them. I have always been a big fan of schedules and planners and they simply make sense and make sure everyone in the family is on task.
