  • Full of Spice but super nice!

I have literally had to wait almost 6 weeks to finally be able to get my hands on this box of goodness. This should have been the first sign that they were going to be amazing. From the moment they began cooking, the aroma wafted throughout the house. My children were anticipating the completion of these goodies to finish cooking and with each minute the anticipation grew, The finished product did not disappoint. They were aromatic, moist and wonderfully fresh tasting. Each one had a burst of unique flavour and they were very "more-ish". They were a huge hit and are already on our next shopping list!

  • Indian selection for the win

I loved the Indian selection, particularly the somasos, which were tasty little morsels of Indian yumminess. They were so quick and easy to prepare in the oven after getting home from a busy day at work. The pack includes onion and vegetable baji, while tasty, arent as delicious as the samosa! All in all, I'd say Woolworths, you totally nailed the Indian selection pack and will definitely be buying in future!!

  • Onion Bhajis are a versatile snack!

The Onion Bhajis in the Indian selection are a delicious and moreish snack, perfect either on their own, or served with side dishes, or even served as a side dish themselves with a main course. We had these as a side dish on our Indian curry night, and also put them on the table at a family BBQ, adding a bit of spice to our usual BBQ of chops and sausages!

  • Puts the Namaste into Indian convenience foods. So authentic!!

Mild enough for the most sensitive spicy critic and full of authentic flavours and textures. You could almost believe you made it from scratch yourself. But super fast cooking time and perfection just like the box promises. This one is a winner in the Woolies range and I would be happy to serve to my guests at any social gathering. It definitely ticks all the boxes.

We loved the Indian selection mix. We served them at a party and they were delicious enough for the adults to keep coming back and mild enough that the children didnt spit it out haha. It was a hit with everyone of all ages.

We will definitely be buying these again. I regret not buying more the first time!

  • Delicious easy family food

Unlike other frozen Indian food we have tried these snacks don’t taste like cardboard but are packed full of flavour but mild enough for our infant daughter. Affordable and quick to prepare on a busy day we will probably keep a box in the freezer to hit those Indian cravings within budget (we also love dinner at Indian restaurants)

  • Great Find Woolworths Indian Selection Mix

I was very impressed with the flavour and product selection in the Indian selection. I would never have thought of purchasing these in the past but will certainly be purchasing them again.

The combination of items is great, Vegetable Samosas, Vegetable Pakoras and Onion Bhajis. The flavour is mild so can be enjoyed by all. They take 12 minutes to cook and can be prepared quickly. They are great to have in the freezer as a quick entertainer.

At $5 they are a great find, they have the health star rating at 3.5 for the Vegetable Samosas and Onion Bhajis and 4 for the Vegetable Pakoras, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives so are a healthy option There are packed in individual plastic packets so firstly the flavours do not mix before use and each individual packet tells you there may be present Crustacea, Eggs, Fish, Mils, Peanuts, Soybeans, Tree Nuts and Sesame Seeds which is a great reminder just in case you have guests that have food allergies.

  • Mmmmmmmm Samosas

Great overall product from price, quality and taste. The vegetable and onion selections were good but by gosh those samosas were fantastic! They were as good as any I’ve had from a takeaway recently, great flavour without being too hot for the kids to enjoy! If there was a box with just samosas available I’d buy them every shop (I’ll probably buy a box of these each shop anyway)!! Yum!

  • Delicious Indian Snacks Platter in minutes

These are really nice. Quick and easy to heat up in my air fryer. The three different variety meant everyone in my family was happy. Daughter liked the vegetable pakora, hubby liked the samosa and I loved the onion bhaji. We would definitely be purchasing this again. Will be perfect for entertaining.

  • Not a great introduction to Indian Food

As a new diner to Indian food I was very disappointed in this selection, the Samosas were the only item I could eat more than one of but are very spicy. The vegetable pokonas were sickly and I couldn't finish even one. the Onion ones were ok but one was enough. For those who like this type of food, definitely good value for money.

Indian Selection Mix was not what I expected they were delightfully tasty and a nice little entrée for the family while waiting for me to get dinner finished. The only problem is there was only one box and I am sure my family would have been happy to have this for dinner and not what I cooked.

  • Yummy onion bhaji!

I think these would be even better if the flavour was a little different between the samosas and pakoras, to me they tasted basically the same. They were still yummy, but these two items should differentiate from each other. I loved the onion bhaji however and could have picked at those more than I should!

  • So Easy for a Little Taste of India

These were really lovely. A nice selection of Indian tastes. They were also full of flavour without being too hot and spicy. Everyone enjoyed them immensely. I have been given orders to buy them again as snacks for something that is a little different. So very quick and easy to prepare too without any mess except for an oven tray. Well done Woolworths!

  • Not really my taste

I tried a selection of all three options, despite the fact that the onion bahja’s being something I wouldn’t usually eat.

They were quick and easy to prepare and tasted ok.

The samosas were the nicest in my opinion and the other 2 options were ok.

Not overly spicey which is good but still with plenty of flavour.

Would I buy them again? Probably not. It’s not so much about the product itself, they were ok. But it’s not the kind of food I would usually choose for finger food

Woolies Indian selection mix is so delicious . My whole family love the samosa and onion bhaji. It just turned out so crispy, and mild spicy which is the best thing. As in family everyone can eat this during snack time. It's ready to made, only need few minute to get the golden brown and yeah it's done. I was so happy after I tried this. It's a hit for me. Thanks

I thought we would have the Indian selection as a pre dinner starter but served with homemade taziki they ended up being a lovely light dinner for 2 . My only nit pick would be that the Bhajis were a little doughy

If every school week is more like an episode of Survivor at your place, don’t worry, you’re not alone! The struggle to stay on top of the school week mayhem is real – so we’ve put together a bunch of clever ideas to give you back some precious time (and sanity).

There’s nothing difficult about these tips, just solid advice and ideas from a mum who’s been in the school trenches for over a decade.

1. Teach The Kids To Make Some Simple Breakfasts

Healthy Breakfast Cookies
Four Ingredient Healthy Breakfast Cookies

Hang on, this is about breakfast, why are we showing you a picture of mouth-watering cookies?! These are Four Ingredient Healthy Breakfast Cookies – perfect for a prep-ahead school day brekkie!

Depending on their age there are so many safe and easy breakfasts kids can make themselves. From toasties, to yoghurt pots prepped the night before or just cereal. Not having to make breakfast for everyone will literally save you hours every week!

2. Lay Out Clothes For The Week

Use a hanging organiser or labelled baskets for each day. Include uniforms, socks and undies. Kids can dress themselves without the drama of missing items. I’ll be honest, my kids’ uniforms are expensive, so I wash during the week as they only have a couple of sets. However, if nothing else, having just socks and underwear sorted for the week is an absolute lifesaver!

The other huge help is not having to pre-treat stains on my kids’ uniforms, nobody has time for that during the week! My extra tip here is to use a great quality laundry detergent that is powerful enough to remove stains in-wash, so you don’t need to worry about pre-treating. Biozet Attack’s range is perfect, and while each product packs a punch when it comes to lifting stains, I love that each targets different issues. For example, Biozet Attack Plus Eliminator Power Capsules eliminate 99.9% of odour-causing bacteria – great for teenage boy school shirts! There’s also Biozet Attack Plus Sensitive 2L which is dermatologically tested, but still powers through stains.

3. Use A Family Calendar System

Whether it’s a wall planner, a shared phone calendar or a digital calendar, you need everyone to be able to track all activities, due dates and after-school commitments in one place. It also helps gives the kids a a sense of responsibility and doesn’t leave everything on your shoulders!

4. Plan A Weekly School Admin Session

Answer school emails, sign permission forms, top up canteen accounts and check term calendars in one go instead of daily interruptions. You may only need to do this fortnightly or monthly, but just make sure you schedule it in your calendar. Trust me, it saves so much time compared to juggling things bit by bit!

5. Quick-Fire Cleaning Sessions

Set a timer for ten minutes in the afternoon, pop on some music and everyone tidies their zone. This includes the kids emptying their lunchboxes, washing their drink bottles, handing you any notes and putting their clothes in the wash. Small bursts like this stop the house turning into chaos by Friday.

6. Have A Snack Station

Child holding Babybel Mini Rolls over her eyes.

Keep a drawer or fridge shelf filled with ready portions. Kids can pack their own snacks for school, and also grab something to eat when they get home. Think ahead and include them in the weekly shopping – ask them what snacks they would like (and cross your fingers they’ll still like them all week!).

7. Set Up A Family Charging Station

One spot for iPads, laptops and phones. No searching for chargers or discovering a dead laptop ten minutes before school! Make sure each child puts their school device on charge when they get home, as part of their Quick-Fire Cleaning Session.

While we can’t promise your school weeks won’t have moments of chaos, taking some of these tips on board will save you time – even if it’s just five minutes here and there. It’s about building realistic habits for the whole family, that will hopefully bring some calm to the school week.

  • There are some great ideas here! I just use an old school paper calender but its so helpful to remember all the important dates – i always buy a family planner one so theres columns for each of us to write what were doing om certain days so we never run out of space! I need a snack station, but struggle to have healthy (or healthier) choices in the cupboard apart from the usual chips, rice crackers and museli bars!

    Reply

  • There are some good hints here! I already do have a little snack station in my pantry – a large container filled with all sorts of bars, etc. It’s the first place the kids look for something to eat. I do like the idea of a charging station but I don’t think it would work in my house. Everyone seems to like charging things in their room and it could look messy with multiple cords.

    Reply

  • The struggle is real so I’m loving these hints. I especially like the idea of getting the kids involved in preparing their own lunches and snacks and offering a variety of options that will hopefully encourage them to make healthy choices now and into the future.

  • A great article full of very helpful and handy tips. Most of these I already do but it has reminded me to add a few other things to my list to organise before the school year starts in a couple of weeks. Helpful tips like this are so great as you can never remember everything and this sure has given me a few extra things to think about.

  • We do daily life admin because it simply makes life easier to stay on top of everything that is required to run a family and household. Planning and organisation is so vital for every family and for a household. It really is very important to stay on top of all things at all times.

  • I love this article. I can relate to a lot of these ideas. For instance, I have a snack shelf in my pantry so my kids can choose and pack their own snacks. No more asking them what they want. We also have a family charging station in the kitchen. iPads, laptops and phones are only allowed to be charged on the kitchen bench. I love the healthy cookies. I must give these a go. The family calendar system is a must too!

  • I totally agree with most of these. We bought some inexpensive cereal dispensers, and that made mornings much easier. And school admin? For me, that is every Wednesday right before a regular appointment. It fitted in perfectly, I never overlooked anything, and if I didn’t need it it was a glorious burst of free time.

    Reply

  • I love this article and the tips and already follow many of them. I have always been a big fan of schedules and planners and they simply make sense and make sure everyone in the family is on task. I also love snack stations; one for the fridge and one for the pantry; again it makes sense and makes preparing food and lunchboxes and snack times easy.
