The Woolworths Roasted Pumpkin and Grains Salad Kit is made up of a deliciously cooked and flavoured pre-cooked wholegrain freekah combined with roasted pumpkin in a light lemon dressing combined with fetta, pumpkin seeds and a balsamic glaze.

All ingredients are packaged separately within the larger salad container for freshness and crunch.  So all you have to do is mix them together just before serving.

How easy is that?  No needing to buy (and prepare) all the separate ingredients!  Just tip into a bowl, mix and serve.

We think these Woolworths Salad Kits are a brilliant idea for those times when you’re asked to bring a salad along to a BBQ or party … or even a picnic!  And they are absolutely an inspired choice for busy weeknight dinners when you only have minutes to put dinner together.

    Quick, easy, and delicious solution!

    We were looking forward to having friends over for lunch, and normally I would love spending time in the kitchen preparing the perfect meal. This particular weekend, though, life was a little crazy. The school year was nearly finished, and the two teachers in the house were pressed for time and stretched to our limits (and with bushfires on the doorstep, school days were decidedly different than they normally are anyway!). Our teenage kids would normally help out, but they were also busy with end of year excursions and activities. This time around, easy options had to win out!
    I picked out a couple of Woolworths Deli salads to go with the meat for the bbq, and I was so glad I did. Regular deli salads can get a bit samey – all creamy mayo dressings and heavy contents. These were totally different! I was able to prep the salads in less than a minute, but the ingredients were all fresh and high quality. I particularly liked the Pumpkin and Grain salad, and the quantity was generous. If I needed to stretch it, I could have easily served this salad over a bed of baby spinach or mixed greens and fed even more people. The salads were a hit with everyone from the adults to the two year old!
    I’d definitely pick these up again for an easy, high quality addition to a meal. A home made salad would have taken more time and effort, this was just as nice and allowed me to focus on our guests and enjoying some time to relax rather than spending time in the kitchen preparing a meal!

    Highly recommend and very convenient

    I love how convenient the salad kit is. It is perfect for a healthy dinner side dish and also tastes great. I also like how the fresh it tastes because the feta, seeds, and dressing is all packed separately. I am also quite picky with feta cheese and the one in the salad kit tasted really good. I would definitely purchase the salad kits again as it helps to incorporate healthier foods in my families diet

    My favourite

    I’m buying these for Christmas lunch.
    I love the individual wrapped sauces that keep the whole salad fresh and crisp. It’s great knowing they will stay super fresh till I serve them and know one will know the secret that are ready made, because they taste like home made. Love these salads so much, super quick and a family favourite here. This one would be our most favourite

    Nutritious, tasty salad full of goodies!!

    I had to fight the crowds to get to my salad kit section of the deli today, which meant other people already knew what I was about to find out. This salad kit was tasty, nutritious, filling and packed full of goodies!
    I am dairy free so I excluded the fetta cheese from my salad but included it in my husbands portion which I found really handy. I don\\\’t think I\\\’ll need a snack this afternoon either because the freekeh has left me feeling so satiated!! I would definitely recommend this salad to people who like quick healthy salads for work as well as for dinner or parties.

    So good I couldn’t choose just one!!!

    I loved the look of these salads so much that I couldn’t choose just 1! The combination of the pasta or grains with the fresh salad ingredients, dressing and cheese makes it an all-in-one Salad that needs nothing added to it. The kits are a perfect accompaniment to a protein for dinner, or on its own as a special, easy lunch. They are especially great for hot summer nights when you don’t want to cooking with a hot oven.

    Wow these are so delicious!

    Wow wow wow I’m not usually a big salad fan, but I do love this Woolworths salad kit.So delicious I ate it all myself. I would definitely recommend trying these salads I love pumpkin and was awesome with all the flavours it brings. At a great price as well the whole family will enjoy it.

    Easy to assemble

    I liked that the salad was easy to assemble! Unfortunately the one I chose was really a bit too strong with the pesto flavour which I’m not a huge fan of but on the plus side the ingredients all were very fresh and it would be perfect with some meat, very versatile and good for us Mums that may be a little time poor.

    It is amazing

    We were not selected as part of the reviewers but I couldn’t help but go buy the roasted pumpkin salad. It honestly was so tasty! I woke up unwell and grabbed it today. It was nice to have something healthy but something easy to grab and eat too. It was full of flavour and I would definitely buy it again.

    Quick Easy & Delicious Woolworths Salad Kit

    Hi there, this is my first review so I’m a bit green! (Pun intended :-D) I tried out the Woolworths Roasted Pumpkin & Grains Salad Kit. Had a bit of trouble finding it at first in my local Woolworths as I went to the Deli section where I would normally buy salads from however it was in another section of refrigerated shelving with its own Salads sign above. There was a few different flavours to choose but since I love pumpkin I thought I’d try this one. The packaging felt premium in its own container so handy for picnics or on the move as well as no mess lunch or dinner. It was easy to open with a tear strip and label holds one side so you don;t lose the lid. Handy for keeping the lid and container together. The insert with pumpkin seeds, balsamic vinegar and feta cubes kept them away from the main pumpkin salad until you’re ready to serve. Less than a 1 minute to open, mix and serve so very quick and convenient. Great serving size as we definitely have some left for another meal (4 serves) and no mess as it has its own bowl and lid for storing in the fridge. Overall I’d definitely purchase these Salad Kits again. It was healthy, quick, easy and delicious!

    Making life easier one salad kit at a time.

    Thank you Woolies! These salad kits are awesome. I must confess I purchased more than one to try as they all looked so good. Salad is always my go to but it can get boring and keeping it interesting and creative can be time consuming. These salad kits are a game changer. I love how convenient they are and so yummy. No wasted food and loads of variety. With my own business and 3 young kids in tow anything that saves me time in my day is always a win. I also love the size portion. They can be used when entertaining or as a quick convenient lunch option. Keep up the good work Woolies.

    Like a home made salad but in a second

    This salad, while costing $9, is big enough to share. It is ulta convenient and with the different ingredients separated it is easy to add less of any of them to suit individual taste. For example my daughter would have added less of the seeds but I would have not used the full dressing sachet and I loved the seeds. I particularly liked the pumpkin in the salad as it added a different flavour and layer of interest. The 4 * rating was also encouraging with respect to future purchases as it is healthy as well as looking healthy.

    Good sharing size salad

    This salad makes bringing something to a bbq to share very convenient and healthy. Altho the fetta cheese, seeds and sauce were packed separately on another tray i am not sure if the veg and couscous could be separated too. The rocket salad was a little dam for my liking. Other than that the size to share for 4 was more than sufficient. Will try the other flavours when I have to bring a dish to share.

    NIce, but expensive for the size

    These salad kits are very convenient, but i do think that at $10 they are a little pricey, considering they are quite small. I tried the roast pumpkin and grains and it was nice, but not amazing. I’d like to try some of the other options.

    Salad kit review

    The Woolworths salad kits are a great idea. I tried the roasted pumpkin and grains salad kit. It was very tasty but would have been better with a little bit more green leafy salad to mix in. I would probably buy it again if I needed something quick and easy to grab and take somewhere like a park lunch out as a side dish.

    Healthy quick side dish

    The flavours in this salad was amazing, I wanted to get a photo but the family attacked it too quickly. So the fact it went so quickly is a great sign given my family can be picky. Will be trying the other flavours next shopping trip.

    Delicious, nutritious, convenient

    As a vegetarian of 30+ years this salad was the best choice for me. It was very tasty but a little stodgy. According to the list of ingredients there was basil pesto which I could neither identify nor taste. The dressing, although nice did not really complement the salad. On my limited budget this is not a product I would buy again as it was much too expensive.

    Thoroughly Enjoy!

    We tried the Spanish Style Pasta Salad with Chorizo, Red Onion & Fetta. Well … We can\’t speak highly enough of it! To say the taste was great is an understatement. We loved all the individual packs, and how fresh it was when made up. Looked lovely & tasted fabulous.
    Would highly recommend and we have bought again ourselves.

    Great tasting salad, Great for entertaining

    Not a salad flavor I would usually make and serve, it was easy to find in the supermarket. This salad was delicious, easy to assemble and has great flavors a hit with my guests, preparation was so simple and excellent for anyone who is time poor.     Perfect accompaniment to Summery cold meats.

    Roasted Pumpkin and Grains Salads x 2 were the perfect lunch accompaniment to the Christmas lunch cold meats excesses used for a relaxing Boxing Day , easily prepared lunch for family and house guests. The salads were enjoyed by all. Healthy, nutritious and I loved the chunky roast pumpkin pieces. I made one salad using all the ingredients and the second salad without the addition of the balsamic glaze. I put the glaze in a small jug closeby for any person who chose to add their own glaze.
    Roasted Pumpkin and Grains Salads was such a success that now I’m eager to try the other varieties.
