I recently purchased these from Woolworths as a quick grab option for our “easy dinner” night and was pleasantly surprised at how good they are! All our family members commented on how good they were and asked what they were and where I bought them from. I was a little reluctant to get them at first and to be honest, wasn’t expecting too much flavour from them. Wow! Thai Style Vegetable Bites are simply delicious! I could not believe how flavoursome they were. The pastry is thin and delicate and the filling is just divine, I could easily eat the whole packet myself! The green curry ones have coriander, which I love, it is so flavoursome, for a product that is bite-sized, it’s definitely full of flavour. We will definitely be buying these again!

Easy to prepare and tasty but expensive for what they are...
As a family, we tucked into a tasting platter with cured meats, cheeses, crackers, dips and crudites and the little icing on the cake were a selection of Woolies frozen delicacies, including the Thai vegie bites. The 3 year old mini-me wasn’t a fan (even though he is a lover of curries and foods from varying cultures), but the adults thought it was a delightful addition to an otherwise cold food platter. The green and red curry taste was evident and the small bite size portion meant that it married well with the rest of the tasting platter. At a discounted price of $5, these are something to consider for the shopping trolley if you are time poor and have a child with a more advance palate. However, at full price, it would be much more efficient to make these at home where you can use all the family favourite fillings! As a frozen food, they are definitely above average in terms of taste but at 12 pieces for $7.50, I think it a bit hefty on the price.

These were very nice. We were was surprised at how tasty they were! We will be buying again. Our son who can be a tad fussy some days, tried them and loved them. We served with some homemade taziki dip and sweet chilli sauce in the middle and the plate was emptied.

Some people will find these too spicy, particularly if, like me, they were expecting not much in the way of spice as is typical of supermarket branded ‘appetizers’. I absolutely loved them but hubby complained of a sore mouth, as he is a bit more sedate with his tastes these days. Keep up the good work woolies, I love tasting my food!

I did not enjoy the Red Curry Bites as I found them too spicy and too hot for my taste, the Green Curry Bites I found had a very strong flavour of lemongrass or kaffir lime, so other flavours did not come through.

I had a lot of trouble finding them at my local Woolworths. I had to visit 3 different stores to find them. I really enjoyed the crunchy case but wasn’t a huge fan of the filling. I found them a little too spicy and somehow seemed a little watery

I found that there weren’t many pieces in the box, they took a long time to cook in the oven and they also were a bit too tough for my liking. Pretty expensive for how many were in the box. I found it hard to locate where it was in the freezer section.

I love these for a Saturday night snack or when unexpected guest come around. Any sauces can be added as a dipping sauce yet I tend to favour sweet and sour sauce or soya sauce. They also taste beautiful plain. Place them in the kids lunch boxes they love them. I place in the oven they don’t need to be deep fried.

Summer beach and pool days are core childhood memory creators, but getting the kids out the door, not so much! But there are some very clever tips that will make even the most stressful summer days smooth sailing – and the Mouths of Mums community know them all! Pack Smart, Not Big
Do you feel like you take waaayyy too much when you head to the beach or pool, and then you seem to forget a couple of key things that would have made life so much easier?

Get Safety Sorted Before The Fun Starts
It’s pretty hard to get the kids’ attention once you’re at the beach or pool, so the safety talk should really start at home. Our mums recommend chatting to the kids about:
Swimming between the flags at the beach
Setting a meeting spot in case anyone gets separated
Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreen 20 minutes before heading outdoors. And set alarms to reapply every two hours throughout the day. Reapply immediately after swimming or using a towel.

I pre-chop carrots, cucumber, apples, boiled egg, in a handy separating container, a packet of chips, dip, and bring water bottles.
