A sexy burlesque -inspired workout program has launched and it has been a hit with mums, with some losing up to 31 cms in just 6 weeks while also boosting their confidence.

Created by former showgirl and mum of two Melony Cherrett, Fitesque is a program that embodies the strength, poise and grace of a showgirl combined with core strengthening, mind centering, cheeky, sassy, heart rate lifting, adrenaline-pumping workouts.

“Many clients are parents who had lost themselves, those who wanted to accelerate their confidence in the workplace, those who suffer from poor self-esteem, anxiety or depression and those who just simply wanted to connect,” Melony said.

“Fitesque was created as an online workout version, designed to get them fit while also teaching clients a skill, rather than just teaching them burlesque, whilst also giving them the opportunity to perform the workouts at home.”

Here are Melonys’s top reasons for trying a burlesque-inspired workout

It is Fun

You are at home, you can’t go far thanks to lockdowns and between homeschooling and work the last thing you need is another standard workout. Fitesque is a little bit different. It is sassy, fun and helps unleash your inner showgirl and inner performer.    It is also a great workout for helping you feel sexy, strong and glamorous and comfortable in your own skin which is something that some new (and experienced) mums struggle with.

It will get you fit

The workout is not about pushing you to breaking point, but it does get some serious results.  The workout features a combination of cardio and strength-based exercises that offers variety.

It’s created with parents in mind

While it is created with all people and ages in mind, the sessions only go for 20 minutes, as let’s face it, most parents struggle to find more ‘me’ time than that, especially in the current climate. New programs are launched each week.

Helps improve your coordination

The burlesque dance moves are the perfect way to work on and improve your coordination. Working on your coordination is great for improving your concentration, but also your ability to perform movements more efficiently

  • great article… This virus currently affects us in many different areas. One of them is certainly the home office and homeschooling. We parents face a very big challenge.
Since I’m a father myself, I know what I’m talking about. However, I see it as a great opportunity to get to know his children even better. Therefore I support the following online course from Australia, because I am convinced that it offers help to many people.

  • I’ve never thought about it before. I would have loved to give it a go but I’m finding it hard to walk with a back problem so I know I wouldn’t be able to do this. Kudos to all the Mum’s out there who would be willing to give it a go.

  • It sounds fun, but I’d rather do it without my family as an audience – and that’s darn near impossible at present.
