Three months ago I gave birth to a healthy 5 pound baby girl. She is my whole world. The family couldn’t have been happier and life in general was great. My mother in law had been going to the doctors a lot more than usual. she would just say it was for the flu or a routine check up when we asked about it. 3 weeks ago she told us, she has been diagnosed with a type of lymphoma cancer that is growing between her spine and kidney. they cant operate because of where it is, it doubled in size in a 1 wk period. she is now getting chemo and radiation treatment to try stop it. she had her second treatment yesterday. she is very weak. she says that even her hair hurts. She is very sick and cant do much but lay in a chair. the only time I see her really light up and smile. is when she is holding my girl. my bub just sits on her knee happily babbling away at her, laughing and smiling. I believe everything happens for a reason. There was a reason my girl came into the world when she did. it was so she could give her gran that little bit of life back she seems to have lost, except when with my girl.
It is going to be a long road ahead but, with a little bit of luck, we will get through it together.
