I have been using baby banana boat roll on sunscreen on my baby but ever since he has started teething he has started to get a breakout on his face when I apply the cream, after I wash the sunscreen off the breakout stays there for a few days.

should I try something new? or is this just apart of teething and keep using the same sunscreen.

is there anything that I could use to help the breakout go away faster?

is there a wash of some sort that I could use on him to settle the breakout faster?

it is not bothering him at all.

  • talk to your doctor or dermatologist.. but definitely don’t keep using it!

  • I know a few youngsters who have had problems with Banana Boat. The same applies to the lotion. One child I know didn’t even go in the sun and the area the sunscreen was on went bright “tomato” red. Trip to the Dr. diagnosed allergic reaction.

  • I would suggest trying a new sunscreen. It might be his teething causing the rash, but it could be made worse by the sunscreen. It wouldn’t hurt to try a different one anyway

  • if its only on the face then it does sound like a teething problem maybe just try a sensitive sunscreen on his face while teething, i personally recomend “MOOGOO cover up buttercup spf 15.”
that with a hat would be enough for the face and just use banana boat everywhere else

    • Never heard of MOOGOO cover up buttercup spf 15, where do you get that from?

  • i would just cover up and put a hat on her for a while.
