Today hasn’t been easy. I woke up vomiting due to my anti depressants making me beyond sick. To the point it felt like morning sickness (impossible as no uterus). Then I had to take my youngest two shopping for shoes. We had an hour of autistic meltdowns over different reasons and the girls hit each other. Anyone passing me would have thought I was a bad mother. Then I had to drive 2 hours to Bunbury as we have the Ronald macdonald house for a week. My youngest screamed almost the entire way for various reasons which made me feel even sicker.
I thought that the rotten day would make me grumpy but I’m still smiling….because the kids are now thrilled to be on holiday (something we can’t afford much). They’re happy because mummy, step-daddy and daddy are all here together. It’s my silver lining to a bad day so I’m still smiling.
