I spend far too much time reading the blogs and real stories on MoM, and I read the comments too. I find that particularly with some of the stories I seem to get emotionally involved, and love it when the writer or another reader replies to some of the comments people have written. I sometimes wish we could know what happened next for the person, and if everything is ok for them. I have read some really helpful and useful blogs too and occasionally I see the writers respond to comments. Those writers breathe life into their blog by their interaction and make me keen to read more from them. Some other writers though,do sometimes make me feel ghough comments just go into the ether and the writer, having written their piece, never lets us know there is a real person reading the comments. Anyway, I still get sucked into reading “just one more” blog or story that is suggested on whatever page I happen to be on. The only thing is, some really old ones still pop up which is a bit frustrating if they mention things that happened a year ago so events have already come and gone, babies are a year older, situations have been resolved or escalated into dramas in real time, and with those ones it’s like reading a book and finding the last chapter left out!

  • The stories on here are great. The blog is very interesting too. There are so many stories and questions I read that I would love to hear the outcome from the original poster. Some are such sad stories, I would love to hear they have happy endings

  • I also love reading peoples questions and everyone’s answers I normally sit down of an evening once the kids are in bed and read as much as I can and always hope that the writer has updated on the things they have asked.

  • Yes, I’ll sometimes trawl to see if there’s an update or an earlier installment to read. I agree it’s sometimes frustrating not to know what happened!

  • I also read stories and even check back on them to see what has been added but at times you won’t get that ending you are looking for as people get swepted up in their ending that they forget or get caught up in the happiness or sadness of where their event has taken them
