I usually start when they have the half yearly toy sales and put everything on layby it makes life so much easier especially when it gets sooo soo busy.

hahahaha i didn’t get to start christmas shopping until December this year, also 17 weeks is quite a lot of time

YAY! Christmas is nearly here! My fav time of year!
I always start my shopping in July – thats when we have huge christmas sales, and take advantage of the extended laybye til xmas eve. This helps whit storage!

This is something my husband and I do yearly as well. Grab things during the course of the year on sale or maybe items not often seen when we are somewhere new. We put it towards Christmas gifts and even birthdays, just find it easy to build things up than try and do all the mad rushing around on or near the date.

Every year, Christmas becomes less important to me and I loathe shopping once the shops start playing those damn Christmas Carols – bah humbug 🙂

I used to do the mid-year toy sales but my kids change their minds too much these days that what I buy now will probably be out of the mix come Christmas. My son’s birthday is less than 3 weeks and I’ve got nothing for that yet either – eekk!

Wow it sounds so close when you say only 17 weeks. It has crept up.

It is a great idea as u said it’s not a huge expense when December comes..

Yes, I start shopping early too – especially for the small stuff.

I try to buy all year round but have to say it is getting harder now the kids are getting older and not into toys as such now
