Casegirl what you are describing was exactly what happened to me, only I kept trying for would you believe 5 months total. And guess what? It never happened. I had three lactation consultants helping me, the midwives in my hospital were brilliant, but it didn’t matter. It wasn’t meant to be. If your gut was telling you it wasn’t going to work, then I think it never would have no matter what you did, and you probably saved yourself and your baby a lot of stress by having the sense to pull the pin before I did! Its great to hear you’re happy with your decision and that your bub is thriving too 🙂

Stressed Mum + stressed baby = stressed Mum and baby.
It is better to switch your baby to formula than have a hungry screaming baby.
If it stress you the baby picks up on that and that makes it worse for both of you. Ultimately you have to make the right decision for both of you and I am sure you have made the best one.
