It doesn’t sound like a good situation,hope it has improved for you!

I know a guy who gave smoking quite a few years ago. They had just had a new baby and it was too soon for her to contemplate going back to work, which she could only do fro a few hours a week becuase of a disability which only showed up when she was pregnant but is a permanent disease. His wife said he was “difficult” for 3 weeks then he was fine. But he went cold turkey as there wasn’t anything for assistance back then. He had a casual job with a company that closed down over Xmas, New Year so he had no income coming in. He realised food was a necessity, that the smoking had to stop for them to survive

Doesn’t sound very good to be around. Hope things have gotten better for you and your family.

That’s addictions for you! No matter what your addiction, if you have to go without, you’re grumpy and everyone around you suffers. I hope he doesn’t regress to being violent towards you, his attitude is bad enough without that!
