Hello!

My eldest granddaughter had a raging fever & vomiting last night & I got the phone call early this morning from my son can we babysit her.( We have her every Wednesday also). When she was dropped off she looked very pale & lethargic, but brightened up when she realised her baby cousin was also her been babysat. I decided we would just play quiet games & when the baby grandchild had a nap I suggests we make a dolls house out of a cardboard box that we decorated & cut pictures out of magazines to furnish the inside & you wouldn’t believe the joy it gave her. Her reaction was you are the best Grandma in the world & you always make me feel better. She is currently napping & I think a fever may flare up again so I’ll go & sponge that dear little forehead & hopefully make her feel better.

  • I love my Mum, and she is a Grandma too, I wish we lived closer so my girls could spend more time with her.

    • It is a special time I’m having with all my local grandkids but they do have a strong bond with their other grandparents through Skye. Long distance grandparents still love them just as much & we often have a 3 way chat!

  • What a difference a day makes! We have our lively active granddaughter back! The antibiotics must have kicked in over night! So thankful she is on the mend.

  • It has to be the saddest thing seeing someone so dear so sick! This little light of mine arrived looking even greyer than yesterday but still managed to ask me what we could do today! Lots of stories & panadol & cuddles! Daddy picked her up & they are going to the medical centre. She will have her normal day here tomorrow, I just hope she is back to normal, X

  • You’re a lovely Grandma. My Grandmother is in her 90’s now and she’s a caring and loving soul just like you.
