Hurry up holidays!

The last week of school always seems to drag on and on and on…..We have just started that week now. I am so envious of the Eastern state schools that are on holidays today! I know so many mums comlain about school holidays and wish the time away so their kids can get back to school but i love it. I love not having to get up, and rush around packing lunch boxes and ironing uniforms. I love not having to constantly nag my 7yo to hurry up and get dressed and put his shoes and socks on, I love not having to make sure they have done their homework and i love that for two weeks they can just be kids. No school work,no dramas with school friends just be kids and have fun, play in the mud, ride their bikes, watch movies and chill.
I will admit that yes, having 3 boys all home does drive me crazy sometimes and when they are fighting ALL.DAY.LONG i do think it to myself that i cant wait till school goes back but always, at the end of the day, i would chose holidays over school.

yes i love being able to see my kids all day and know when they are doing things vs them at school and i have no idea

And don’t forget you can actually drive on roads with much much less congestion during school holidays! 🙂

I enjoy the holidays as well. I still have to go to work and drop my son at the school holiday program, but I love the freedom of knowing there are no homework deadlines and we can just come home and read and do activities and enjoy mum and son time 🙂

I Love The Holidays, Even Tho Today I Got Home From Work At 8 Am And The Neighbors Kids Were Already Over(aArghh) But At Least They All Play Well And Take In Turns Going To Other Houses 🙂

I also enjoy the extra time of holidays with the kids but have to admit I do hate shopping on school holidays

Yes, I think we’ll fall over the finish line here. FYI – we’re eastern states and don’t finish till Friday either (for once it looks like our holidays pair up!). I look forward to the holidays (and then I look forward to school starting again!).
