My 2 year old son broke his leg two days ago. I was horrified how quickly things can go wrong. The way our family pulled together was amazing. My husband stayed home with our 3 year old and 4 week old whilst I accompanied our son 2.5 hours away from home on the ambulance. Our brave boy only got upset a couple of times, telling the ambulance crew ‘im done’ and requesting to go home. After his cast was on he told the doctor ‘im done’ and wanted him to take it off. Leaving the hospiral the following morning he turns to me and says ‘is it done yet?’. You could not describe his reaction, leaving the ward telling everyone on the way out ‘im done’. Now he is lapping up all the attention and enjoying being waited on.
