life ad a Grandparent Carer

Sadly my daughter has a drug habit ,so her children are in care ,2 with me &1 with my Mum .We love them of course but it ruins the Grandparents joy seeing grandies ,few times a week ,cause the children are with us all the time .Trying to keep up dated with new technology etc is hard .Not feeling sorry we have these children they need to stay in the family,but it’s hard chasing a 4yr old when feel the old bones creak !

Cheers for your lovely comments ,it is hard but don’t have a heart to put them in welfare .The 13yr girl has been with us 12yrs &she awesome.

What a hard thing it is for you, must be heart breaking that you see no only your child suffer but your grand kids as well. keep you head held high you are doing a super job and in years to come your reward will out way everything else

I think you are a wonderful Grandparent to take on this role! As much as I love my dear grandies, I find it hard keeping up with them & I babysit a few days a week. I hope your daughter can get help so she can turn her life around for you & her kiddies. Best wishes.
