So for those that have been following, know how hectic our household is at the moment. For those that haven’t been following, here is a quick update: we have 4 kids (6, 4, 3 and 1), and a week ago today we got a 2 week old (now 3 week old) kitten to care for as her mother abandoned her, and last night I picked up 3, 3 day old kittens to care for.
Well, my partner was so against the first kitten, I wasn’t game to tell him about the other 3 kittens until I got home with them. As I went out to get them, I just told him I would be back in a minute (he thought I just went to get something for dinner). Anyways, I got home and he met me out at the car like he usually does to help me carry stuff in. So, of course, he noticed the box in the front seat… I told him we have 3 more kittens. Well, he wasn’t happy, but he wasn’t angry either.
So even though he didn’t want any of the kittens, we are now keeping the 3 week old kitten (YAY! She’s fitting into our family great!), and the 3 day old kittens are going as good as can be expected thus far! Well, the big twist is that my partner has been helping wherever he can – even as far as helping feed the 3 week old kitten =) He takes on more housework when the baby kittens need feeding as well. He is so amazingly supportive which is fantastic!! He has definitely fallen in love with the 3 week old kitten as well (hence why we are now keeping her =P )
