Hello!

I have read a lot of posts on MOM and other sites, and listened to journalist, therapies and mothers … They are all talking about the importance of Mums having Me time! Making time to relax and be kind to ourselves. Now don’t get me wrong, I agree we all need to do this….. but it comes with Guilt. Me time = Guilt. My Husband is a hard worker and helps out at home, I have no complaints with him. But when he goes to play Golf…. He ‘Plays Golf’.. If I played golf it would be called Me Time?????

  • Once every two months my Me Time is to go out with the mums in my mothers group for Me time for dinner. Its not that often as i am a stay at home mum so thats all i can afford. Its not to much to ask for a little sanity time for you.

  • Yeah, I know. It’s a real struggle, and one of those areas where men seem to have got it “right” quite effortlessly!

    • Beautifully said, We need to follow the men on this topic!

  • It’s whatever time you want to call it! Me going to work is my me time. I enjoy my work and it takes me away from the family for a bit.

  • Lol, it is so true, I have “Me time” in the bath once a week, I take in my book and soak for longer than is appropriate, but I have learnt over the years that as much guilt as I feel, I would feel more guilt if I didn’t have “me time” as I would be stressed and yell at the kids more….

  • It does come with guilt. I get me time in the shower sometimes. My husband gets to have a shower
