I had a similar situation,I had really bad morning sickness (or so i thought) during my pregnancy,i had horrible pains and went to the hospital a number of times only to be told “its just morning sickness dear” I also had gestational diabetes.
I was induced 2 days before my due date but the induction failed so I had an emergency c section all was good then 1 weeks after my baby girl was born I was so sick and after getting some tests done my doctor had me rushed to hospital as I had gall stones and an inflamed gallbladder I spent 4 gruelling days in hospital (worst 4 days ever as my baby was so distressed) the surgeon told me I had 2 wait 4 weeks before I could have surgery as I had already had the c section and another surgery too soon could result in more complications anyway after another 4 weeks of pain I had the surgery and couldn’t hold my baby for a whole week!!! but after all that pain and anguish my daughter is now 2 and we have such a strong bond so don’t worry give it a little more time you two will bond
