Packing for moving

I’ve learnt with moving and packing you can never have to many boxes, it’s better to have to many than not enough! Also, the more helpers you have the better! Assign them a room to pack and make sure they label the contents well. Marking what’s in the boxes is so much easier when it comes to the unpacking. Turn up the music, order some pizzas and have some fun.

I’m a control freak – need to pack myself, however if anyone knows where to buy cheap boxes and stuff from, let me know?

I hate moving! But it is the one time I throw out everything I don’t need!

When we moved I number the boxes and wrote down on a note book what items are in what numbered box. It works very well too.

Labeling the boxes is really important. You could even make a sheet of paper with the number on the box, and write the most important items down. Otherwise looking for something can become really tiring! 🙂 Success with moving!

Doesn’t hurt to make it a working bee, we did that when my sister in law and brother moved, a brother of their friends even drove his truck, everyone helped pack into boxes, pack into the truck and unpack at the new address, was actually pretty fun.

Great idea to mark everything especially what in the kitchen boxes, that way you can unpack the essentials first and everything else as needed.

Also; having a big clean out before you move is a good idea and does save on some unnecessary packing.
