Hello!

I think it’s a personal choice as to weather you have the flu shot or not, but do consider that you are more vulnerable when you have certain conditions.

Flu vabs are recommended for all pregnant women and women who are planning a pregnancy during the flu season.

While you are pregnant you may be more susceptible to infections, such as coughs, colds and flu. This is because your immune system is lowered slightly in order to stop your body rejecting your unborn baby.

At the end of it all it is up to you to make your own decision. You can find more information from your doctor.

  • Children with some medications are very vulnerable too.
Check with your Dr. whether it is advisable for them too.
Also your other relatives may need to be vaccinated and may need some encouragment. You certainly don’t want to risk them catching flu either.
