Hello!

It sounds to me like he’s going through his separation anxiety stage. The best thing to do is be there for him and reassure that your’e there. All kids go through this at some stage, it’s a developmental thing and won’t go on for ever. The waking in the night and calling for you is part of it, he’s starting to realise that you are separate from him and not always right there. Don’t try to get him over it by separating, it will just upset him. It’s sounds like you are doing all the right things to make him feel secure and help him through this. It will get better eventually just hang in there and keep doing what your’re doing. Your’e doing a great job :)
