Hello!

I have a 5 year old (G) and a 3 year old (B). When my son was little he was sick, a lot, in and out of hospital and with ear infections, lung issues, chest infections, you name it, he got it. Daycare sickness etc. Found out he had leaky gut syndrome and is allergic to dairy. Then found out he was hearing impaired. So started an auslan journey where we are learning sign language to communicate. And it is hard going but worth it. I fully would love to see this in all school, the basic words and signs can be used, as I feel its becoming more and more useful. Kids are like sponges and in the last year of teaching my son auslan we have over 150 words and learning songs and new words every month. He is still not verbal but is loving being able to communicate with us now.
