The Spell from Grandma

My mother was taking my children and some cousins for a walk in a shady dry creek bed exploring while Grandad was attending to some farm duties. My little one said she was tired. Grandma said “when we get up to that big log, we will have a spell” ( meaning rest). Grandma and the kids sat on the log and were taking refreshment when my little one stood in front of her and said “well when are you going to do it?” Grandma said “do what?” ” The spell, you said we would have a spell.” It took Grandma a moment to get that she was expected to do some magic!
