I have recently had to comfort someone who is older as their family has no time for them and does not spend time with them, call them or text them. The reason given to this person is that they are just too busy to see or contact them. I feel somewhat sad when people say they are too busy to spend time with family members and in particular older family members. One day we will all be old and we will want our children and their families to have time for us and we will want to be involved with their families. As a parent life can be so busy but I do make the time for older family members and the joy it brings to their day is rewarding.
