Hello!

I have on my hands what I call a toddlerteen! She is so stubborn! She is 19 months old and everything is a tantrum or sooking unless she is getting her own way. She has Turner’s Syndrome so she has to have a lot of hospital treatment, medications and such and she just flat out refuses and screams until she is blue in the face. She is definitely head strong like me and knows what she wants! I am hoping she calms down a little in the near future!

  • I have one too… 22 months and we have “debates” over which shoes he wants to wear or which t shirt, how toys should be positioned etc… lots of fun!

  • yeah she will know what she wants when she gets older! she won’t be walked on! you will somehow need to guide her to keep that sassy, strong will but be able to negotiate and comprimise. They do get better as they get older. My fussy middle child has seemingly overnight, turned into a more easy going child as she is starting to get a grip on her emotions and using her words more.

  • A stubborn child who is too young to reason with can be a right pain sometimes!

  • Sounds like you have your hands full! Keeping calm yourself is always helpful – but not always possible. Try to pick your arguments, so she doesn’t always get her way. Sounds tough! This is a difficult age – things will get better.
