Hello!

About 4 weeks ago I began toilet training my 2.5 yr old daughter. She was wetting herself left, right and centre. Got to the end of the 3rd week and was going to give up but thought I would give it one more week. So the 4th week was very successful. I realised I had to stop asking her if she needed to go as she would just say no and just take her instead and distract her. I began rewarding her everytime she went and now we are on our 5th week and she is doing wonderful. She actually came home from preschool in the same clothes she started in, hooray!!!

  • A 3 y.o. girl I was minding one day was acting suspiciously so I asked her if she need to go to the toilet. She said no so I didn’t push the issue. A couple of minutes later she sat down on he verandah. When she got up I discovered a wet patch.

  • Congratulations! Yet another milestone achieved on their long road to growing up. Happy but sad. Good that they’re learning, sad that it means they’re one step closer to leaving you

  • Sometimes we need to change our focus. Rewarding was obviously the way to go with your girl.
