After being told for 14 years by a number of drs, my partner & I found out we were having a baby at the end of last year. We had a few difficulties at the beginning of the pregnancy but got through to be able to watch our boy grow in my belly. My first son was fascinated with the pregnancy & couldn’t wait till his little brother arrived. I woke up in the middle of the night (last week) realising that it was the start of my birthday & discovered my waters had broke!! I was admitted to hospital & because I had 5 weeks to go the drs weren’t happy about him coming so early but knew it needed to happen because of ruptured membranes. I was given 2 doses of steroids & 2 days after my birthday was taken to be induced. Our beautiful son was born after 7 1/2 hrs of labour & was admitted to Intensive care nursery. It was so hard seeing this beautiful boy in the humidity crib, but we told him he was strong & would be ok. He graduated to the special care that night & only spent 2 days in there before being taken off the feeding tubes. He is now 9 days old, at home & growing quickly. I’m so proud of our little man!!!
