Recently I had the opportunity to try the MamaCare Premium Pregnancy Supplement, and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint.

This is my second pregnancy and with both my pregnancies, I’ve taken supplements from the day I started trying to fall pregnant. For me, it gave me peace of mind that I was doing everything I could to have a healthy pregnancy (especially on those busy days where I know my food choices aren’t as healthy or nutritious as they could be!).

Being my second pregnancy, I automatically thought of using supplement tablets again. To be honest, I didn’t know that a powdered supplement was an option, but I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try MamaCare’s Premium Pregnancy Supplement Shake because it had so many positive benefits. Having a liquid supplement made me feel like all the nutrients were being absorbed straight into my body, as opposed to a tablet, where you don’t know how much of the nutrients are actually going into your system. Being Australian made from the finest Australian Sourced ingredients was also a huge plus for me!

Here are the three things I loved most about the MamaCare Pregnancy Supplement

1. It has so many benefits

I took the MamaCare Pregnancy Supplement Shake throughout my pregnancy and felt so assured that my baby was gaining a whole lot of nutritional benefits that would support its healthy development. This Pregnancy Supplement is easily absorbed and includes 26 essential nutrients, including folic acid, iron and iodine, as well as protein to help meet the increased nutritional requirements before, during and after pregnancy. I was lucky enough not to suffer with any severe morning sickness, but if you’re pregnant and are suffering from morning sickness, this supplement includes protein which provides slow-release energy that may help manage your morning sickness.

2. It doesn’t cause constipation

During my first pregnancy, I had low iron, and it’s even lower again this time around, so I wanted to be sure I was giving my body (and baby!) everything it needed to help support bub’s growth. With my first pregnancy, I found whatever I was taking to help with my low iron did make me a little constipated, but this supplement didn’t affect that side of things at all, hurrah! (honestly, with everything else your body is going through, constipation adds another level of discomfort that you don’t need to deal with!). This supplement was truly gentle on my tummy and so easily absorbed, I also felt like my energy levels were right up there too!

3. It’s super tasty and easy to prepare

The supplement is so easy to take, just mix 2 scoops with water, shake and enjoy! The supplement has a delicious vanilla flavour and I found myself wanting it for an afternoon 3 pm pick me up because I loved the taste. I’d also pop it in my breakfast smoothies, and the flavour blended in nicely. There are some great recipes on the MamaCare website … The Triple Choc Bliss Balls were my favourite, I had to make sure my little one and husband didn’t eat them. Trust me, they wanted to because they looked so good!

The cost of one serve of MamaCare is less than the price of a cup of coffee, so I was more than happy with the price. What I also liked is that I could purchase sachets for when I needed to go into the office, or away for the weekend and didn’t want to lug around a big tin in my bag.

I highly recommend it!

My little bundle will be born any time now, and I’ll confidently continue to use the supplement while I breastfeed so that my baby keeps benefiting from all the nutrients in this supplement. After taking this I would absolutely recommend it, over tablets as I’ve seen such a positive difference in how gentle it is on my body, and also the energy I’ve felt after taking it. If I try for baby number 3 in the future, this will absolutely be the first essential on my shopping list.

  • Articles like these always make me feel like a failure as a mum. I didn’t take any supplements, bar iron tablets when blood tests showed deficiency. I ate healthy and avoided the recommended things, but no supplements

  • Does it come in any other flavour as I don’t really like vanilla flavoured powders…

  • Whether you take tablets or a liquid/powdered form your body will only obsorb the nutrients it is deficient in so the real choice is how you choose to get that nutrients. Most of the time if you eat a healthy diet you shouldn’t need much. I think personally I’d prefer tablets as then it is done and you know you’ve taken it.

  • Thank you very much for sharing. I am not so keen on shakes as very often women have a problem with drinking it.

  • Never had supplements when I was pregnant. I think I needed additional iron at one stage. Other then that, I was just told to eat and drink healthy
