Little Cooper Waldvogel loves his mum more than anything in the world.

And after 9 months apart, Cooper just couldn’t wait for a hug from mum Catherine, not even for military protocol.

Watch their beautiful reunion in the video below:

  • I love my little boys song he sings ” I love my family, I love my sisters, I love my Daddy, I love my Mummy, I love my family!’

  • Way too long for a child (and mum or dad of course) to be away from his parents but as long as it’s working for the family then they can keep their jobs and make the most of their time together.

  • At his age nothing would have held me back either.
Protocol means nothing to children as young as him.
He is lucky he is old enough to remember his Mum. So many military personell are forced to leave their loved ones and often very small children don’t remember them when they come back which is heartbreaking to witness.

  • I cried!!!! This is why no one should go to war. How can you leave your children behind I struggle just going to work each day and leaving my little girl!!
My favourite of day is climbing into bed each night for our special mummy daughter snuggle time where my 5 year old tells me about her day the good and bad and opens her heart and mind to me. So special I hope it continued through her teenage years
