My favourite animal – not a zoo resident – is a domestic cat. Some are very affectionate, some are very indignant if you try to pat or cuddle them. However, they are less likely to come when called.
There is a phrase “I’ll come when I’m called if I want to”. I have to agree with that. I had a desexed female cat who most of the time never left our yard. She liked to spend time outside during pleasant weather. On the very rare occasion she would go down the road to a neighbour’s house but would always be back home within an hour or so. What worried us most was she crossed a reasonably busy side street, which tended to be used as a speedway at weekends which was when she often went. If we tried to catch her she would run. ggrrr!!! Never attempt to go too close to a feral cat. They may come up to close to you but if you attempt to touch them at all they will viciously bite and scratch you. In many ways a cat bite is worse than a dog. Their teeth are like needles, longer and sharper than a dog’s. They carry bacteria in their mouths which cause infection very quickly.

My favourite animal is a dog. My next favourite is the Panda.

I must admit the monkeys are always a fave at the zoo, although it’s been many years since I’ve been.

  I respect organisations that are attempting to preserve the orang-utans natural habitat and organisations that do preservation work.

Aw how gorgeous, I absolutely love monkeys !!

Animals are great stress relievers – pity more are not in the wild, but we can’t have everything. We either leave the habitat alone for animals or change it to feed the over-population of the world.

I love meerkats. They are so cute when they are running all over the place and looking out for each other.

Aren’t animals adorable. I could keep watching animal videos for ages.
My favourite animal is the dolphin, no doubt about that.
