Dogs are therapeutic for some people. Walking them gives you exercise too.
They are great company. Some Doctors have found that some patients have less problems with high blood pressure when they get a dog. It also applies to cats to a lesser extent because you don’t normally walk a cat.

Oh! So adorable!
When my nephew and niece were young, their dad gave them a puppy Siberian Husky for Christmas. The kids were so thrillled. Actually me too. Shira was such a gorgeous dog.
