Wow! I have not cooked a whole chicken for many years. They’re so cheap to buy now already cooked at your supermarket, I’ve never seen the point. But, this has now inspired me. Our favourite slow cooker meal is my Lamb Roast. I think it’s time I gave the good old chicken a go.

I love cooking a whole chook in my slow cooker. I put a foil sling underneath the chook to make it easier to get out once its cooked.

I am always worried about it cooking evenly with I do a whole chook – this was a great video and i love the addition of the lemons – it looks so pretty

yeah this does help a lot! i wouldn’t think about cooking a whole chicken that way so it’s handy to know that it can be done
