Wonder if this baby got booked for speeding?

This baby sure was in a hurry to be born. We hope she wasn’t booked for “speeding”.

Victoria police got a surprise when they pulled over a car in Thomastown for a routine intercept and discovered a woman in labour.

The woman was a passenger in the car.

She asked police for help and they called an ambulance for assistance but the baby was in too much of hurry to wait for paramedics.

With assistance over the phone from Ambulance Victoria, Senior Constable Jamie Mackenzie and First Constable Milan Radenkovic, both fathers themselves, delivered the baby girl.

An ambulance arrived about 3 minutes later and took the mother and baby to the Austin Hospital.

What a birth story!

Baby was certainly in a hurry. Glad the officers were there to help and hope the driver wasn’t booked for speeding in such circumstances

I hope they didn’t book the driver in the end! Not every day a police officer delivers a baby. Good job guys!

Lucky both Police Officers were Dads and had some knowledge of how to assist.
I wonder if one of them cut the cord or left it until the Ambulance arrived.

Good on the officers for helping this lady in her time of need… probably not the way the mother had hoped to give birth but a unique experience indeed.

Omg, this nearly happened to me in the same area and to make it worse hubby took wrong turn at the hospital, luckily we jade it in time and 10mins later I had bubs in my arms.
