It’s time for Dad’s to get their craft on and help the kids make us awesome handmade Mother’s day gifts.

Below are some fantastic ideas – why not send your partner/husband the link to this page for inspiration.

Flowerpots – Made from a cup, plastic spoon, tissue paper and a pom pom!

Handprint flower shopping bag – All you need is paint and plain tote bag, they look great.

Handprint vases – Paint the inside of an empty jar, then handprint the outside, a great keepsake.

Painted flowerpots – I have a few of these and love them. Terracotta pot and some paint – easy.

Fingerprint flower decoration – These salt dough decorations would look great hanging up in your house.

Mum poster –  Hand drawn picture and answers by kids.

Handprint butterflies – So simple but looks great.

Coupons – Make your own coupons to pamper Mum.

Hand jewellery dish – How gorgeous is this!? All you need is some air dried clay! This is on my wish list.

Sun catcher – Contact and tissue paper make great sun catchers.

  • Although I do request it, my husband always does something crafty with the kids for mothers day. I am very crafty and creative and he is not so I know he is putting in a huge effort for me. I have had some beautiful hand made gifts from my now 4 year old and look forward to seeing what he can do now we have a second child….only problem is the 4 year old keeps telling me what dads plans are haha!

  • My daughter did something for me in the past, like the voucher (I’ve still got a lot to use!!! ;-) ) and paintings with her hand print. They are lovely memories. She also made some 3D cards with the help of my husband!

  • I get along with my daughters father but he has never bought or made anything for me for Mother’s Day. My daughter will make me something as she does and I’ll treasure it!
