The best products to buy from Australian supermarkets have been voted by thousands of shoppers.

Product of the Year director Sarah Connelly said winning the award was a huge stamp of approval.

The 2016 Product of the Year awards lists what 14,000 people surveyed by research company Nielsen seek out on the shelves of their local supermarket.

“Shoppers can rest assured that these products have been voted for by people just like them, and whether they are buying large household appliances, beauty products or everyday grocery items … all the guess work has already been done,” Ms Connelly said.
