When it comes to snacking, many people have a sweet tooth. However, some people are unable or choose not to eat foods with added sugar. Fortunately, there are some great free-from-added-sugar, healthy snacks that you can easily make.

Many times, people tend to avoid sugar-free snacks because they often think they don’t taste good. Luckily, there are some great options available that are both free of added sugar and delicious. You’ll be amazed that these snacks don’t even taste like they have no sugar.

Best Free-From-Added-Sugar Snack Ideas

Though many snacks contain added sugar, there are still plenty of tasty ways to snack that are free of added sugar. Not only can these healthy snacks taste amazing, but they are also good for you. In addition, many of them are simple to make, saving you time.
Just because you go sugar-free, doesn’t mean you have to completely give up your sweet tooth. There are many foods, like fruit, that are naturally sweet and delicious. You can also get many of your favorite treats made with no sugar or sugar alternatives.

Fruit Smoothie

Who doesn’t love a classic fruit smoothie? Fruit smoothies can easily be made without added sugar. The sweetness from the fruit already works as a natural sweetener.

You can easily make a delicious fruit smoothie by adding your favorite fruits and skipping out on flavoured yoghurt and juice. Simply add fruit, plain greek yogurt, milk, and a dash of vanilla. Not only will it taste delicious, but it is free of added sugars.

Cottage Cheese and Raspberries

Cottage cheese is a great source of vitamins, minerals, and proteins. It has no added sugar and can make for a tasty, healthy snack. By adding some raspberries, you are complimenting its flavor and giving it a nice touch of sweetness.

Trail Mix

Though trail mix is often made with sugary components, it can easily be a healthy snack made with no added sugar. For a tasty free-from-added-sugar trail mix, combine peanuts, cashews, almonds, dried fruit, and pretzels. You can even add some sugar-free chocolate chips if you desire.

Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Cookies

Peanut butter cookies are a classic treat loved by many. Fortunately, they can be made sugar-free by only using three simple ingredients: all-natural peanut butter, sucralose sweetener (such as Splenda), and eggs. You can even add some more texture and flavour to these cookies by adding oatmeal and vanilla.

If you want to take these cookies up a notch, you can make some cookie sandwiches. Generously spread some sugar-free frosting in between two cookies for a glorious treat. You can accompany your cookies with a delicious green tea full of antioxidants.

Unsweetened Applesauce

Applesauce has been a favorite snack for many people, as it has a lovely taste and texture. Unsweetened applesauce with cinnamon makes a great alternative to a sugary snack. You can easily make your own free-of-added-sugar applesauce at home.

Deliciously Sugar-Free

Whatever the reason may be that you are on a sugar-free diet, you can still enjoy some amazing healthy snacks. There are several great alternatives to snacks with sugar that are still tasty. In addition, many of them are healthy as well.
