  • Good ideas for the balance of the school holidays now we are back home again.

  • The Australian Garden at The Cranbourne Botanical Gardens is x also a great place for kids with a paddling area in the man made waterway, a great play ground, lots of paths for adventures and free entry.

  • great read thanks for sharing

  • We took the family to Melbourne many years ago and I honestly can say it is truly a ” business ” city . It seems like shops are just everywhere and at every place scattered all over the city and it is just too big to feel really comfortable in . It certainly is true when the say HO is in this city because it is as I think it is more suited to working there than living there .

  • I didn’t know you could view penguins at st. Kilda pier! Will have to head down there, thanks!

  • A great list. I wanted to add that all trams are free in the city, not just the city circle, so it’s super easy and free to get around the city.

  • Never been to Melbourne, but these sound great!

    • Go! It is a wonderful place to visit and the shopping is good too!

  • Thanks for this list – love the sound of Fitzroy Gardens.
