A chip or crack in your windscreen doesn’t have to be a pain in the proverbial.

A mobile windscreen repairer can come to a location that suits you, at a time that’s convenient and fix and restore your damaged glass in no time at all.

But – and this is a big but – you do need to call in the repairers at the first sign of damage otherwise you could be putting the safety of the occupants at risk and compromising the structural integrity of the vehicle.

But back to mobile windscreen repairs.   These seven advantages will leave no room for doubt that it’s the way to go when it comes to repairing damage to your vehicle’s glass.

  1. Utmost convenience

So you’ve got a chip or crack in your windscreen.  Why waste time going to a repair shop and sitting around idly while you wait in the queue for your turn?  Or worse still, having to leave your car at the repair shop for the day and arrange a taxi or someone to fetch you?  A mobile repair company comes to you, so you can make the appointment at a time, place and date that is convenient for you.  Plus you can get on with your day while the repairer assesses the damage and does their job.  It’s convenience plus!

  1. Quick turnaround

A mobile windscreen repair can generally be done in a short space of time (often in less than an hour), so you don’t have to be without a vehicle for very long.  Obviously, each repair job has to be assessed before the technician can make a call on how long the repair will take, but generally small chips and cracks can be sorted out very quickly which means you can be back on the road in no time.

  1. Minimal downtime

For many people, their vehicle is indispensable to their working day and they need them to get to appointments, transport or deliver goods etc.   A mobile windscreen repair is quick and convenient so there’s minimal unnecessary downtime which is a real bonus especially when time is money.

  1. Same high quality

There’s no compromise when you use a mobile windscreen repairer.  You get the same high quality and the same attention to detail that you would if you took your vehicle to a workshop.  The mobile repair service uses the same equipment, they use the same genuine parts and accessories and they follow the same procedures as a technician in a workshop does – only the job is done at your convenience.

  1. Affordable

Another surprising thing about a mobile windscreen repair service is that it’s affordable.   The repair company doesn’t have the overheads of a major workshop so they can pass on the cost benefits to you.

  1. 24/7 Flexibility

Murphy’s Law says if you’re going to get a stone flicking up onto your windscreen, it’ll happen outside of working hours or over a long weekend.  It might even happen when you’re away from home on holiday.   No worries.  Many mobile windscreen repairers work around the clock, so you’re likely to find one who will be more than happy to come to you after hours and have the damage sorted in no time.

7.            No insurance woes

The good news is that mobile windscreen repair services are often covered by insurance – and depending on your level of cover, you may find that there’s little or no cost to you.  Always check your policy first, and then make sure that the mobile repairer you choose is accredited by your insurance company.

Remember, don’t ignore damage to your windscreen.  It will almost always end up getting worse and could cost you a lot of money in the long run.  Worse still, there is a real safety risk in driving around with damaged automobile glass, so it’s just not worth taking a chance – especially when you have the option of fast, affordable, convenient and quality mobile windscreen repairs.

  • We have access to a mobile windscreen repairer. It’s good that you don’t have to drive anywhere with a damaged windscreen and get a possible fine

  • We live an hour and a half from the nearest windscreen repair shop, so the mobile ones are a must for us. We’ve only used them twice, but would have been stuck without them

  • Them coming to you minimises the probability of a greater crack

  • A very practical and logical case.

  • This makes sense to me

  • I’ve needed one

  • Mobile repairers are so handy!

  • Can’t fault mobile ones. They do a great job

  • A mobile service has been terrific.

  • There is a special product you can carry in your car to fix chips and very fine fairly small cracks with, especially if you have to travel a fair distance to get it fixed. I think it may be in a tube. You clean the dust and dirt off the spot as much as you can and apply the substance. It might stop more damage occurring until you reach a professional. I know somebody who ended up putting thick clear plastic in place of a rear window as the following towns didn’t have a window to fit their old 4WD.

  • Convenience is the draw card but it would have to be comparable in price

    • We found the price to be cost effective.

  • My husband has done it numerous times himself, also cra ked screens from laptops ????
