In honour of the US Labor Day long weekend, Carrie Underwood has shared some very special news.
With the help of her dogs, the singer took to social media today to make a very exciting announcement, posting on Twitter:
‘In honor of “Labour” Day…Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier’
Her husband, hockey superstar Mike Fisher confirmed that his wife wasn’t announcing a new member of their canine family, but that indeed, a baby is on the way, posting:
This will be the first child for the couple, who met in 2008 and married 2 years later in front of 250 guests at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Georgia.
Carrie has credited her husband with calming her nerves before a big performance, revealing “If I’m nervous, he’ll be like, ‘C’mon, you have nothing to be nervous about.”
“‘Just go do what you do and take a deep breath and say a little prayer and you’re good to go,”‘ she added. “Just being able to get a little kiss and go about my way, it definitely has a calming effect”
