One of Aldi’s most popular offerings for end of year celebrations is back – say hello to a party in a cask.

A couple of year’s ago Aldi added some colour and cheer into Christmas and new year parties, launching a range of 2L casks of popular premade cocktails.

And this year they’ve made a returned with  Cosmopolitan, Gin & Juice and Passion Martini making a comeback.

Party In A Glass

Each cocktail cask holds about 10 cocktails and the price has increased from last year, from $19.99 each to 22.99 each, which is still pretty much the cost of a single cocktail at a bar.

I love that you don’t have to mess around with a heap of different spirits and flavours to get the authentic cocktail experience. All you need to do is grab a glass, some ice and perhaps a slice of lemon or a cherry on a toothpick and you’ve got yourself a party in a drink.

Let’s take a closer look at the different flavours on offer:

ALDI cocktails

Cosmopolitan

A delicious blend of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and lime juice.

ALDI cocktails

Gin & Juice

A classic mix of gin, elderflower, sugar syrup and lemon juice.

ALDI cocktails

Passion Martini

A refreshing mix of vodka, vibrant and tangy passionfruit liqueur and subtle vanilla sweetness.

The cocktail casks are available now at selected NSW, ACT, VIC and WA ALDI stores while stocks last.

I hope they will come in before Xmas.

  • I have just tried the Cosmo. To say that it is dreadful would an understatement! It is so bad that to describe it as a ‘Cosmopolitan’ is both misleading and deceptive. A Cosmo made to the usual recipe is about 20% abv. This is 6%. You be the judge!
