Each week, I’ve got my eyes, ears and emails open so that I know all about the Aldi Special Buys this week.

And if you’re anything like me, you never really need the Aldi Special Buys that are on sale this week … but you want them!  I have to admit that there’s been many times when I’ve thought “Oh I’ll just check the Aldi Special Buys this week” and ended up lining up early with all the other special buyers to nab myself a bargain.

This week I happened to notice some rather lovely Marble Side Tables. They tick lots of boxes for me in terms of Aldi Special Buys this week.  They are online only (tick – I don’t need to go out in the cold or line up in a queue) and they are metal and marble (so no wobbly legs or flimsy timber). They’re not super cheap though and because they’re online, the shipping per table will be $19.95. So maybe they’re not such a special buy after all.  Haha my bank account will be glad I went through that thought process about the Aldi Special Buys this week!

One product that is on Aldi Special Buys this week (as in Saturday 17 July 2021) is going to literally RUN OUT THE DOOR.

And after we share the hack one ingenious Mum performed, you’ll be down there early too!

So on Aldi Special Buys this week, there’s going to be a Laundry Hamper for $59.99. It features 2 compartments with boxes inside which would be perfect to get everyone into the habit of sorting their washing as it goes in.  Woohoo now that should save you some work.

Now we think this is a pretty special buy in itself but we got even more excited when we noticed this post on facebook getting rave reviews.

Basically Aldi shopper Julianne shared that she had purchased this laundry hamper around a year ago and instead of using it as a laundry hamper, she made one quick change to make it the best looking rubbish and recycling station ever!

She shared that she had removed the inner boxes (which are now in the kids bedrooms as stand alone laundry hampers) and replaced them with 27 litre bins with the lids removed. Available from Bunnings in either black or white for just $12 each. Julianne lined one with a bin liner and that’s become her rubbish bin and the other will take a pile of recycling.  She shared that any of the really ‘wet’ rubbish like vege scraps go into a separate bin so there are no nasty smells.

We think her hack is absolutely brilliant!

So if you’re wondering about Aldi Special Buys this week and whether there’s something in there worth getting out of bed for, remember this Aldi hack!  Brought to you by one very clever Mumma who has the most stylish rubbish station around.

She’s got me all embarrassed now about the state of my rubbish bin under the sink … so I’m off to give it a clean. And figure out just where I could fit the Double Hamper from the Aldi Special Buys this week!!

Who else loves a hack?  And who’s going to be checking out the Aldi Special Buys this week?

Tell us in the comments below (and we’ll look out for you in the early morning line up next Saturday) xx

  • Great idea if you have a space to put it.

  • Great idea – you can also buy bins that are purpose built to fit in cupboards, but this is great for spaces that don’t already have cupboards.

  • Whilst this is a great hack, I’m wanting this special buy for its intended purpose. I’ve been looking everywhere for the right laundry hamper.

  • I love this idea but, let’s face it, I’m never going to get to an Aldi store. I refuse to travel 600km just to buy this item

  • I have not seen this Special Buy but have been on the lookout for a laundry hamper for AGES. Hope I’m not too late!

  • I had a similar double bin when living in Northern Ireland.

  • It’s a fab looking idea if you have a big kitchen footprint. My own house is small and the kitchen is a tiny corner of the living room, so this is way too big and too wide for me, sadly. Would be great to see Ikea et al design stylish space-saving ideas

    • I’m the same. I love so many hacks that I see, but lots of them depend on having much more space than my tiny house has!

  • This is a very clever, and neat idea. The bins never looked so good.
