Hello!

Actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren have revealed they’ve suffered their third miscarriage, saying they want to share their journey so others know they’re not alone.

The Hunger Games and Vikings actor joined his wife in opening up about their pregnancy losses, in a heartfelt social media post.

“This woman’s strength astounds me every time,” Alexander, 30, wrote alongside an image of Lauren in a hospital bed. “I love you and your resilience through this just is one more of the countless reasons I love you. All the bumps life throws our way, we got this. And for anyone else, you’re not alone. It’s a hell of a lot more normal than I thought.”

Lauren explained that the pair had ‘gone back and forth’ about whether to share what they had been going through. But they ultimately decided that ‘we all need to start talking about the truth more’.

“Last week @alexanderludwig and I had our 3rd miscarriage,” Lauren wrote. “I decided I wanted to share because I don’t think it’s a shameful thing to talk about. I want to help others realise how common miscarriages are and how they aren’t something to be embarrassed about.

“Going through this has made me realise, I definitely am not alone. It’s so common and yet, I feel it’s not talked about nearly enough. If more of us talked about these things, maybe we would feel less alone and at fault. Information is power and I want to start sharing more of it.

“This will forever be a part of our story. My hope by sharing this, if for no other reason, is for that one person reading this to know they are not alone.”

Alexander and Lauren married in 2021, just a month after their engagement. They eloped to the top of a Utah mountain with their dog Yam acting as witness.

  • Having gone through a couple of miscarriages, I can feel for this couple. And I agree it is about time people spoke about it in a normal way as so many go through it. It is hard to suppress those tears for the little life that has been lost, and people saying have another baby to make up for the one you have lost just do not understand, you never forget your lost child. Good on you, Alexander and Lauren.

  • Miscarriages are tough. As common as it’s claimed they are, you seem so alone when it’s you it’s happening to
