Life gets pretty darn hectic with a family. And if you’re looking for a household subscription service to ease a massive load, Amazon Prime is about to become your new best friend.

Amazon Prime caters perfectly to busy families. It’s an entertainment platform of epic proportions, a store that sells everything from coffee to cricket bats – and best of all, it’s a place that helps you save cash by dishing up some of the best deals in the entire country (trust us, we’ve nabbed a few!).

Amazon Prime Free Trial

There are streaming services, and then there’s Amazon Prime. It’s the one membership in Australia that goes beyond entertainment to be your to-go hub for almost anything. It’s quick, it’s convenient, and best of all, it’s really cheap!

Why We’re Crushing Hard On Amazon Prime

We chatted to a member of our team and busy mum-of-two about why she rates Prime as an absolute must-have in 2023. Check out what she has to say:

Amazon Prime is AMAZING for books!

“My daughter and I are serious bookworms and one of the things I love most about Prime is that I can buy new-release books at the lowest price in the country and have them delivered to my door the very next day. Great for when you need to get your hands on a sequel FAST! The huge library of FREE e-books is fab for when we travel and would rather take the Kindle than physical books.”

Saving money with Amazon Prime

“Prime Day is amazing for saving cash. I buy a lot of Christmas presents at this event – and best of all, they all get delivered to my door the next day at absolutely no extra cost. I always do my research when it comes to prices, and Amazon is usually the cheapest around.”

Buying cheaper groceries in bulk with Amazon Prime

“I really struggle carrying heavy groceries at the supermarket, like bulk water bottles and laundry detergent etc. But thanks to my Prime membership, I now order them online and have them delivered FREE! Saves my shoulders and back – and usually saves me cash, too.”

Prime Video is our TV go-to

“Prime Video is brilliant. We also have Netflix, but Prime is watched just as much, if not more, in our house. There are loads of binge-worthy exclusives that you can’t find elsewhere, like Nine Perfect Strangers and Little Fires Everywhere. We love it.”

“I would actually be lost with our Prime membership. Between work and the kids, I’m too busy to get to stores anymore. Prime means I can get my hands on what we need fast without battling traffic and looking for a park.”

“Low prices, free next-day delivery AND Prime Video for $6.99 a month? It’s a total no-brainer to me.”

  • Love Amazon Prime for fabulous delivery and TV but never used it for subscriptions

  • My strict budget would stop me from taking this subscription. And unfortunately the belt tightening will be continuing for quite a while.

  • Amazon is good for fast delivery, even without Prime.

  • Amazon is great, but it isn’t always the cheapest by a long shot – it doesn’t hurt to shop around. But it can definitely provide things you can’t get elsewhere.

  • I’ve opted in an out on a couple of occasions, but had no idea all of the above was included.

  • Cool! Might have to sign up.

  • I’ve never shopped with Amazon and since I can’t afford to spend much, it would be wasting what little I have paying a monthly fee.

  • Oh wow… You had me at amazing for books…. but free books is a clincher lol… I’m signing up for that free trial…

  • Obsessed with Amazon. Had a trial of prime, night need to get it back

  • I’ve had prime and loved it. I just got it back and I’m loving it again with new shows and deliveries

  • I’d heard of prime but didn’t know anything about it. Never purchased from them either but seems like pretty good value.

  • I’m not a member because I know I’ll become addicted lol

  • There so much more to Amazon Prime then a movie streaming service. I’m loving it

  • I’m not a Prime member and don’t think I would become one anywhere soon

  • I love Amazon prime, nappies are so cheap with s&s
