BREAKING: Missing child found safe - Mouths of Mums

The Queensland Police Service have found missing 5-year-old girl who was reported missing yesterday.

Jocelyn went missing from Nielsens Road, Nerang at 4.30pm yesterday.

Police continue to encourage people in the surrounding areas to remain vigilant and search their own property rather than attend the search location.

Police have revoked an emergent situation declared under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) to assist police and SES personnel search for the missing girl.

The exclusion zone was declared at 12.50am and was bounded by Gilston Road, Hinde Road, Latimers Crossing Road, Nerang-Murwillumbah Road, Beaudesert-Nerang Road, Ferry Connection Road, Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Gooding Drive, Mudgeeraba Road, Worongary-Advancetown-Mudgeeraba Road.

Approximately 160 Police and State Emergency Service personnel are currently involved in the search, including members of Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol, plain clothes officers and Pol-Air.

Jocelyn was wearing a dark pink t-shirt with a lady bird emblem on the front and dark blue denim shorts.

UPDATE 3:30pm – An update from QLD police reveals Jocelyn has been found safe and well.

Jocelyn’s mother and fatherare very relieved and totally exhausted.

Her father  Steve Lewis  really wants to thank the community for their fantastic support and assistance.

QLD police say a member of the public found Jocelyn.

Jocelyn is suffering a few small scratches but otherwise was in good spirits.
