Mother’s Day is not only a time for children and grandchildren to spoil their favourite mother figures and female relatives, but also the perfect opportunity for every woman to treat herself to a hassle-free day of leisure with the company of her family and loved ones.

Here are four apps to help every woman make the most of her Mother’s Day:

1)  Wish Grandma a happy Mother’s Day in the morning

You might not have time to visit in person, so jump online in the morning with the kids and send Grandma a thoughtful ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ photo, video or message with Tinybeans.

The Tinybeans app allows parents to privately share all of their children’s moments and milestones with a trusted network of family and friends who will value them as much as they do.

Parents can do so by creating a daily app journal of photos, videos and notes, and in return their trusted network can regularly check-in via their smartphone or jump online, leaving comments as they go.

2) Pamper yourself in the afternoon

Leave your partner with the kids for the afternoon and treat yourself to a pamper package, whether it’s a trip to the day spa, a mani and pedi combination or a full-body massage.

Scoopon is Australia’s leading daily deals site providing incredible discounts off lifestyle experiences and products in your city, so indulging on Mother’s Day is affordable and hassle-free.

3) Enjoy a hassle-free dinner with your family in the evening

Dining out with the kids? Don’t put yourself through the pain of battling it out with other mothers for a table and copping a family-sized cheque at the end.

Yumtable is a restaurant booking app that revolutionises the experience of dining out by allowing people to search for restaurants, claim hassle free discounts and reserve tables all on the same app, so you can beat the queues and feel great about saving a dollar or two.

4) Book a night away for two

Finally, book a babysitter and embark on a spontaneous night away with your partner to indulge in room service, the mini-bar and a buffet breakfast the next morning.

HotelQuickly, is a last-minute hotel booking app offering travellers heavily discounted deals in more than 200 destinations in Asia-Pacific, so an impromptu getaway is easy and affordable.

  • For me Mothers Day was about spending time with my kids rather then going away with my partner.
All my kids are scattered to the wind now so for me its phone calls and zoom meetings for Mothers Day. My husband is no longer with us. Im glad for the time I spent with my kids when they were here.

  • All well and good but most of the end games of the apps cost money. I find on mothers day i would prefer just to hang around the house with the kids, no housework and have nachos.

  • Thank you for the ideas. I love the concept of Tinybeans, it’ll be good for my mum. My Grandma doesn’t even have a mobile – that would fall under the heading of “technology”.

  • Thank you, very thoughtful. I wish I had someone to ‘just leave’ my daughter with although the two of us will have fun on our own. :-)
