Shaving foam fun

This is such an easy and fun art activity my 3 year old loves! The nicely scented, squishy foam feels great!

Material

shaving cream
1 large plate or mat to keep the shaving cream contained
1 smock
coloured paper (optional)

Method

Squirt a reasonable amount of shaving cream onto a surface that can be wiped clean easily or washed. (I use a large plastic plate)
Let them have lots of fun! If you want you can use coloured paper to take a print of their creations by simply placing a piece of paper on top and pulling it off to reveal a print of their design.

Notes

I used the shaving cream in the photo because it starts as a blue gel and turns into a frothy white foam. It's also for sensitive skin. Home brand shaving foams work just as well. I made a smiley face on the plate and let my son see what happened when he got his hands into it :)

This is heaps of fun. I add food colouring too to change the colour and make it even more fun for the kids!
