A fun fine motor activity for babies and toddlers. Keep little hands busy and little minds working with this simple activity.

Material

1 packet Straws or pipe cleaners
1 Colander

Method

Place colander and pipe cleaners on the ground
Show toddler how to insert the pipe cleaners in to the colander
Repeat until all pipe cleaners are used. You can then pull them all out and repeat the activity again.

Notes

We use this craft activity when the children are needing to calm and focus before working on bigger art and craft projects. It helps with hand and eye coordination as well as keeping their minds engaged.

Wow what a simple yet brilliant idea. Way cheaper than buying threading activities from shops too. Childten normally have alot more interest in activities other than normal toys in my opinion.

I bought my grandson a bag of felt pom poms. Gave him some thread and a plastic needle and leg him go for it. For something so simple, he really enjoyed it
