This $20 million Sandstone Point resort in Queensland is set to become the ultimate family holiday destination.

The new Sandstone Point Family Holiday Resort is nearing the end of construction. Run by the BIG4 Holiday Parks, the resort will officially open its doors in November this year. On the shores of the beautiful Pumicestone Passage, only a short distance from the iconic Bribie Island and located directly in between Brisbane CBD and the Sunshine Coast, there is plenty to do with magnificent beaches and scenic bushland showcasing the best of South East Queensland escapes.

Something for Everyone

The new resort includes options for families of any size with a Luxury Villa, 3 Bedroom Villa, 2 Bedroom Deluxe Villa, 2 Bedroom Villa and Studio Villa as well as impressive Luxury & Family Safari Tents. Each of the villas has been designed in a modern coastal-inspired style making it the perfect home away from home.

Family Friendly Facilities

The Sandstone Point Holiday Resort has incredible family-friendly facilities, including tennis and basketball courts and a gym. There is also an awesome water park with an 800-litre tipping bucket, 500sqm adult and kids pool, fire pit,  jumping pillow, games room, BBQ areas and more. The resort allows patrons to BYO caravans or tents, with both unpowered and powered sites available as well as full use of the resort facilities.

And there’s no need to worry about the kids getting bored whatever the weather! The resort has an outdoor playground and an indoor playroom, featuring gaming consoles and even a cinema.

The resort will be taking bookings from 1 November – there’s your family Christmas holiday sorted!

  • How many people could afford to take their families there unless both parents are getting very high salaries. Even then, most would go during the off season as it would probably be cheaper then

  • I would love to take the family for a getaway of this sort but everything’s priced too highly,Going to the movies is a one day out a year for most families,We live fifteen minutes from Wet’N’Wild in Sydney and have taken the kid’s once when we one tickets not long after it opened.You have fun though you’ll probably leave the kid’s home with the Nanny and the dog walker while someone else mows your lawnCheer’s Krusty.

  • Great idea but we prefer to spend quality time with our kids together on holidays, not palm them off the be entertained by others or video games. Personal preference but would not go there…

  • Looks like a great family place. Now when can we have a resort for oldies – grandparents who want to get away from it all – no grandchildren or the wherewithal that they need – but a relaxing resort for just two oldies?
